Unidentified reunion photo?

Post by Vance Pollock » 30 Jul 2022 00:19

I believe one of the children is holding the Austrian triband flag and would date this image to early 1900s, so hoping someone in this subforum may recognize it.

Especially, what is the large flag at the back of the group?

And if I have guessed entirely wrong, mods feel free to relocate this thread if a better fit can be found.

I guess they are Germans - see the German-style caps, and the Iron Cross of the point of the large flag. The small flag is the black-withe-red tricolour of the German Empire.
