Nice pictures. I add som history notes on the Regiment:

k.k. Landwehr Infanterie Rgt. Laibach Nr 27 was raised i Oct. 1901 from the 3rd and 4th Battalions of k.k. Ldw.IR Klagenfurt Nr 4 and a newly raised Battalion. In April 1917 it became k.k. Gebirgsschützen Rgt. Nr 2, at the same time LIR 4 became k.k. Gebirgsschützen-Rgt. Nr 1.

Great pictures, I had a great-grandfather who was in LIR 27 during WW1 but he was on Galitian Front.

He was within the 5th Company and so probably in the 2nd baon, which was in Gorizia (my family lives and lived in that area, other two g-grandfathers were in AH army during WW1).

Now I'm trying to find out as much material as possible about LIR 27, 'cause few was written. Probably at the end of this month I'll be in KriegsArchive in Vienna to watch the documents they keep about this Rgt and in HGM to see if they have some photo-material.

I save all the pictures posted here on my PC and I want to ask you how many pictures do you have about LIR 27 and if any note is written on the back of those pictures (names, dates, places,..)?

I repeat, great photos and thanks to share them with us!
