The official AHF Austria-Hungary quiz thread

Post by Marcus » 20 Jan 2004 22:23

The quiz threads we've had running in the Lounge for a while has been a great success, so I think it is time to get one started in this section too.
The rules are very simple:
The first one to post the correct answer to a question, posts a new question (must be on the Austria-Hungary) and so on.

As I don't have a question ready at the moment, feel free to post one if you have one ready.

Since no one has posted I'll ask an extremely easy question as a teaser to get all this started:

Who is this person and what rank he holds as appeared in this photo?

Best Regards!

Kaiserjäger

Post by Glenn2438 » 21 Jan 2004 18:34

Cheers Orok!

Who is the later Waffen-SS divisional commander amongst this group of Tyrolean Kaiserjäger officers in 1918

Regards
Glenn

Hi Glenn,

He is SS-Obergruppenführer Artur Phleps, Commander of the 7th SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs Division Prinz Eugen from Jan. 1942 to May 1943. And I think he is the Hauptmann (second from left) in your picture.

BTW, great photo!

Best Regards!

WHAT?

A very strong resemblance. What about Friedrich Scholz Edler von Rarancze?

Not Scholz

Post by Glenn2438 » 21 Jan 2004 19:23

It is the Hauptmann 2nd left but it is not Scholz either Jürgen.

Haaa,

now it´s my turn. Please grant a short time out. I wonder if there is any question Glenn could not answer. Actually I don´t think so. But I´ll try.
