Sorry, but not Engelbert Biernatzki.
My man was a major in 1906.

Hi,

Engelbert ZUZZI.

Assuming that I am correct, I am going to be away from my computer until Wednesday morning, so I throw the field open for someone else to post the next question.

Kind regards,

VJK

This Bundesheer-Oberst and later Generalmajor started his career in k.k. Landwehr 1899 and was promoted to Major in 1918.

Dear Valdis,

Irlweck was a chance but I mean another one with ident promotion dates. Our man was as Major 37 ranks after Irlweck - just for a clue.

Another clue: you tend to forget that most of them startet their career as Kadettoffiziersstellvertreter!

Hi Christian,

OK, I'll take another shot: Eduard VÖLKER.
You are right of course, I do tend to forget the Kadettoffiziersstellvertreter (mea culpa  ), though VÖLKER was ranked as such from 1 Sep 1898.

Kind regards,

Valdis

PS I forgot to mention, Engelbert Zuzzi was promoted to Tit.-Generalmajor sometime between 1922 - 1930.
