ok - this Colonel (GM in 1918) was born 1863 in Venedig
he was Commander of the famous IR 'Hoch- und Deutschmeister' Nr. 4

The GM we were looking for spent most of the time of his career with the k.k.Gendarmerie and finished his career with the Polish Gendarmerie.
He died 1941 in Krakau.

In Sept. 1914 this Colonel was badly wounded by a grenade impact near him.
Unfit for activ troop service in the army he retired in 1916.
1917 he was reactivated and got a command in vienna (now GM),
but in the summer of 1918 he died of the long-term consequences of his wounding.
(he is not listed as KIA or DOW)
