I'm looking info on this soldier, who was serving in 3. Geb.Brigade in July 1915.

Ave Klemen,

This is probably Oberstleutnant Achilles von Philipovich, the CO of IV. Baon des I.R. 58 from Stanislau. The battalion was part of 8. Gebirgs-Brigade in Mai-Juni 1915 and had fought on the Tolmein bridgehead.

Gratiam,

Octavianus

Probably is the same man.

Do you know anything about his family background (his surname)?

Klemen

Klemen,

Oberst Achilles von Philipovich was the commander of IV./IR. 58 at the outbreak of WW1 having been promoted to Oberstleutnant on the 1st of November 1913. Promoted to Oberst on the 1st of August 1915 he became commander of IR. 30 in December 1915 until October 1917 when he became commander of the 60th Infantry Brigade. The Brigade was renamed as the 18th in April 1918 and he continued in command until the wars end.

Regards
Glenn
