Can anyone tell me if the rank Reichsgeneralfeldmarschall was the same as that of Generalfeldmsrschall or is there a difference? Appreciate it.

Best regards,

It is my understanding that the only man to have been Riechfieldmarshall was Hermann Goering. Making him the highest ranking military man in German History. He even had a special baton made, so that it was deferent from a Field Marshall. I belive that baton is in the West Point Museum.

Bonjour

The real grade of Hermann Göring was Reichsmarschall (19.07.1940)

Generalfeldmarschall---->04.02.1938
Generaloberst------------>20.04.1936
General der Flieger------>01.03.1935

19.07.1940 many generals were made Generalfeldmarschall or Grossadmiral.
