Austrian pilot please identify

Post by Captain George Albert » 01 Mar 2006 22:56

In this picture is, I believe a heavily decorated WW1 Austrian Pilot. He is wearing a gilt and silver Sigmun Landis medals, Karl Troop Cross, and 1873 General Service Medal. In the button hole are an Austrian Officer's merit cross and a Bavarian Mititary Order of merit 3rd class with swords and crown. He appears to be wearing a pilot's badge. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try posting that photo on the forum for this site dealing with the aces and aircraft of WWI; http://www.theaerodrome.com
