Years ago In pocket edition of Anne Frank "The Diary of A Young Girl" there was a photographic section regard Jews in WWII. One picture showed a man in a cart with a sign being escorted by the SA. The caption claimed this was a Jew being carted off to a KZ Camp...in fact truth was different...the SA was taking and humiliting a political person {non Jewish} his offense was that he had been a Social Democrat who had taken part in the Kiel Mutiny of 1918 ..I cant remember his name but I beleive he did survive WW II...and stayed in politics....

A little bit OT, but a very good german TV production about the "Matrosenaufstand 1918":

Matrosenaufstand 1918

90 minutes NDR production, to be seen repeatedly on the north German TV stations, excellent! :milwink:

Please see the following link to explanation of Man in cart
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=87207&p=778012&hilit=cart#p778012
excuse the caption-the man in cart was not Jewish but was called that because of the mistaken caption it was printed with,,,,
