Thank you for your reply, Terry.

Anyone else for my image of 21 Nov 2011?

On the other hand I have some doubts about this german Minenwerfer:
25cm sMW L3 a/A, 25cm sMW L5 n/A or 17cm mMW L3.8 a/A??? :?

I am often very difficult to distinguish between these models

It looks indeed like a camouflaged 9.2 in. railway gun (platform in the back, raised carriage, etc.) but I'm not quite sure about the Mk number.

There's something of a French "16 cm Mle 1887" (actual caliber: 164,7 mm) in the barrel. And it looks like some kind of a test setup, maybe balancing.

It is possible, although it is difficult to ensure.

On the other hand I found this small image on Ebay. Any idea?

Sturm78,

Guy François thinks that it could be a 25.4 cm Russian gun of Canet design (I was off by almost 10 cm ! :o ) If you compare with the pictures you posted this year on this same thread, the similarities with the barrels of the Russian 10 inch/254 mm L/45 Obuhov gun are indeed striking :

on February 22nd :

and on September 27th

Thank you for your reply, Emmanuel.

Guy François might be right. In any case it is very difficult to identify.

Any idea about my last image?

PD: Why not answer me directly Guy François? :?

I think it's a French naval 16 c Mle 1893 used as heavy artillery.

16 c = 16 cm but the actual caliber was 164,7 mm - The French Navy went back to using cm for the calibers of its guns between 1910 and 1924 but the French Army sticked to the mm.

Thanks for your help, Emmanuel.

Do you have any other image of the 164.7mm Mle 1893 or Mle 1896 for compare?

On the other hand I also need help with this heavy coastal gun. According to photocaption Russian gun

Sturm78,

You'll find a picture of a 16 cm (164,7 mm) Mle 1893 in this thread:
http://pages14-18.mesdiscussions.net/pa ... _836_1.htm

Regarding your last Russian gun, it looks again like a 254 mm L/45 Obuhov.

Thank you for your reply, Emmanuel.

About the Russian gun the barrel seems longer than the gun of your image of 12 Nov. :?

On the other hand, Can anyone identify this gun?
I think Russian 107mm M1910 but I am not sure

Sturm78,

For the 254 mm gun, it is hard to tell if the barrel was actually longer or not than on the other picture. However, there was a longer 254 mm gun than the L/45, the L/50 Pattern 1908, but I don't think that it was used by the Russians as heavy artillery. :?

I agree with you for the 107 mm gun M1910: the breach greatly ressembles the breach of the French 105 mm L Mle 1913.

I think it is a 14cm (138,6mm) Mle1910 de marine or maybe a Mle 1887,1891 or 1893

Hi all,

Two images from Ebay:

Image 1: 75mm Schneider PD.15 gun, according to photocaption. Was this rare gun used by any country or only prototype?
Image 2: I think 8cm M05/08 austrio-hungarian gun but I am not sure
