How to get info?

How can I get info on the place of burial of some Slovene soldier in Galicia during WWI?

I'm asking this, because one of my friend's grand-father was killed there. He has his name,... and data of KIA, but nothing alse. How could he find out more info on that day, place of burial,...?

Regards,
Kocjo

If your friend can determine which regiment his grandfather served with, there might be a regimental history in Austro-Hungarian archives. There are a lot of good web sites about the First World War and KuK - some with links to archive sites. Your friend might want to contact the creators of some of those sites for more information about tracing regiment and unit histories.

Here is a site to start with: http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/index.htm
