Hermann von Kotze

Post by CNE503 » 01 May 2017, 18:22

Hello,

I'm upgrading my German OoB for the start of WWI, and I have several toring gaps in it.
For instance, if it seems that this German officer, Hermann von Kotze, was the commanding officer for the 38. Landwehr-Infanterie Brigade (or gemischte Landwehr-Brigade?), I don't know what was his rank on August 2nd, 1914: Generalmajor or Generalleutnant?

Thank you for your help!
Cheers,

Well, Hermann von Kotze doesn't raise a lot of enthusiasm :D

Does anyone know something about Oskar Sachs? He was commanding officer of the 22. Landwehr-Infanterie Brigade (Höhere Landwehr-Kommandeur IV) on early August 1914, but I didn't find whether he was an Oberst, a Generalmajor or a Generalleutnant. Any educated guess about this one?

Thanks!
Cheers,

CNE503,

Hermann v. Kotze was a char. Generalleutnant z.D. (24.3.1909)

Oskar Sachs was a Generalmajor z.D. (18.4.03). Char Generalleutnant z.D. on 18.6.15.
