Hello,

As far as I know, this general officer was CO of the 2. Kavallerie-Division at the start of the war. But I was unable to find what was his rank at this time: Generalmajor or Generalleutnant?

Thank you for your help!
Cheers,

I don't know his rank at of the start, but according to the Rangliste of 6 May 1914 he is listed as Genmajor with a date of 22.03.12E and was in command of the 39th Kav. Bde as of that date.

I checked with some old records, and the records say that he was promoted to GLT on 3.01.15 with a Patent of 27.01.16. Also he was listed as zD. as of 3.01.15, and was mob. auf. as of 28.12.18
Regards, Robert Brockmeier.
PS I do not e=remember the source of that info, but believe it to be accurate as a lot of other data was entered from whatever the source was!
