Re: Austro-Hungarian generals, the times of the First World War.
I noticed that GM Heinrich Lederer von Borszczewka was not on the list of unkown life dates. Schimdt-Brentano only has his birth year of 1861 (which I think may be wrong), but I have been able to locate his date and place of death.
22 Oct 1941 in his 81st year which would make his birth date 1860.

Robert Pluhard von Ulogponte was my great-great-grandfather. I'll ask my grandma if she has any additional information but I think most documents were lost after my family was forced to leave czechoslovakia after WWII.

Re: Austro-Hungarian generals, the times of the First World War.
Schmidbacher, Josef
According to the financial year book „Compass“ for 1943: Schmidbacher Josef , Gen. i .P. , Bela Crkva , Maderspachstr . 4, Banat, Serbien
He must be the same Schmidbacher (the surname is exceedingly rare) mentioned here: Born 1862, died in the Lager Rudolfsgnad (apparently between 1945 and 1948).
Not much, but certainly better than nothing!

Thank you Jake, and yes it is better than nothing by a long way.
