Note "noted lack of objectivity".

Reading this article reminded me of Frederic Remington's cable from Cuba in 1897 to William Randolph Hearst: "there will be no war". Hearst wrote back: "You furnish the pictures and I'll furnish the war".

"Yellow journalism" is now known as the "tabloid press".

Note the article's "a modern citizen ... in 1917".

The "standards for journalistic norms" is a subject still in dispute with "journalism" frequently being eclipsed by media operations of professional public opinion molders.
