Americans in Central Powers armies?

I've heard of Americans who fought in other Allied/Entente armies during WW1, as well as in post-war European armies (such as in Polish Air Force during Polish-Soviet War). But, were there any Americans who fought in the armies of the Central Powers for whatever reason? I can see this obviously causing problems after USA joined the Allies in 1917, but still, stranger things are known to have happened in history...
