Good morning all,

Per ...

That Livadia Palace, Yalta !

Note "Wolf's Lair", Hitler's first eastern military HQ where Barbarossa "discussed".

Good travel time Warsaw to Ketrzyn. It's faster per km than travel Interstate 495 Tysons' Corner, Virginia to Lorton, Virginia.

South.

You post some good links but that is a little thin and click baity. It is also incorrect. The first image shows the ossuary at Douamont which contains the bodies of some 135,000 French and German war dead. The caption is of the Fort which is about 800m away.

If you want to post a link to websites promoting trav el to battlefield destinations you are welcome to promote some of mine ;)

Good afternoon Sheldrake,

Appreciate your above post. This is real historical research. Otherwise the hyperlink I posted this AM would serve as the definitive statement on the subject matter.

What is not clickbait ?! Is it not all or much a gamble ?

Actually, I already do mention your name when some of my brothers in arms at a veterans meeting say they're going to visit some European battle sites. I gave someone the link to here with your post; had your picture in top left wearing a nice hat.

I used to do volunteer work with American Battle Monuments Commission. It's a small organization. In practical terms, American military history has faded from the American scene. Can't speak for the other nations.

Again, the posting and replies here at AHF is historical research with much being high-quality.
