Hi everyone. I am trying to nail down the deployment of this rightfully famous formation in the early days of the war. Stationed at Tianjin, one part was detached and participated in the capture of German Qingdao. I have 450 men, but I don't know what Battalion, being carried by the Kwanping( English officer's memoir. (I think he means the Kwang Ping (Miramar, b. 1898 of 1,966 tons, departing Tianjin?/Weihaiwei? on October 19th,1914 and landing on October 21. The force departed Qingdao for Hong Kong on November 23rd. Does anyone know on what ship? Then when did the force left in Tianjin rejoin it? What ship carried it from Tianjin to Hong Kong and if possible dates/ Many thanks in advance.
