Churchill meets Monty 1918

Lille 28th October 1918....Winston Churchill,Minister of Munitions,watches the March Past of the British 47th Division through the city.

Standing left is Lieutenant-Colonel B.L.Montgomery,Chief of Staff(GSO1) of the 47th Division.

Little did they know of their intertwined fates that was to come 24 years later.
