Commanders of the Thaelmann Battalion

I know that "Ludwig Renn" was the first commander of the battalion (1936) and that he was succeeded by Richard Staimer (1936-7) and then by Gustav Szinda (1937) but who led the battalion in 1937-8 until the disbandment of the brigades?

Georg Elsner (his real name was Bruno Hinz) was the commander of the battalion when he was killed in combat on 24 August 1937. He was replaced by Anton Schichanowsky.
