A notable figure in the SCW and the anti-Franco resistance. Killed post-war but when? My interest is in his post war activities and possible murder in Spanish Morocco.

I am Karine de Castro, Pierre de Castro’s grand daughter. My grand father did not die in Morocco. He died in Argentina, in Buenos Aires in 1991, from an apparent heart disease, but don’t quote me on that

Thanks Karine, I got my information from a site while researching Miguel Campos who was allegedly killed by the Moroccan secret service. Glad to find your grandfather lived into old age

, here is a photo of him after the war. When he was freed from Mauthausen Concentration Camp (thanks to the US soldiers) he was in a very bad shape physically and mentally, he weighted only 39 kilos. He became quite violent unfortunately. He and my grandma and the children (my mum and uncle) went to Morocco to spent a few years, then my grandpa went to Argentina and my grand mother and the kids (my mum and my uncle) went back to France. They never saw Pierre de Castro ever again.
