It only served with the nationalists in English-speaking countries.

Hahaha no, now seriously the 54 Division was created on 4 November 1937, so nothing to see in 1936 and most of 1937.
During the Battle of Teruel, the area occupied by the division was not affected by the Republican offensive or the National counteroffensive, but its artillery cooperated with other units involved in the fights.
Later it took part in the offensive in Aragón that finished dividing the Republican territory in two zones, and in the Battle of the Segre, mainly defending the bridgehead at Balaguer and later attacking the bridgehead at Vilanova de la Barca.
In 1939 the 54 Division took part in the offensive in Cataluña, and ended the war taking part in the so-called "Ofensiva de la Victoria".
If you are interested in more details about a particular date, I can look for them.
Regards.

Many thanks. Apologies for my late reply. As you know I have been following Miguel Campos of the Nueve and recent accounts suggest he deserted the 54 division sometime before March 1938 at Guissona , Lleida and joined the 104 Brigade, 31 Division. I am unsure when he joined the 54, or indeed why (he seems to have been a left-wing political activist before the war).

best regards

Keith
