Tito as leader of secret jail during Spanish civil war?

In the book written by Peter Batty "Titova velika prevara. Kako je Tito zavajal Churchilla". ( how Tito was cheating Churchill ) the author is claiming on page 17 that he found in the archives of British Foreign Office a letter of some Edith Wedderburn. She was writting to Anthony Eden on May 20. 1944 like warning him that Tito as agent of Kominterna and GPU organized military courts and secret prisons in Spain to persecute those who were not in the line with Stalin, yet othervise supporters of Spanish republican side. By her claims a ship at Barcelona port was also used as secret GPU prison. Tito and GPU agent Hans Kahle are responsible for such methods of terror.

I would like to know if somebody might have more informations about this?

Ok i see. Tito denied later fighting in Spain but some claimed othervise... Surelly the truth about those things is in soviet or today russian archives.

Searching for clues i found this M15 report mentioning Hans Kahle who was a colonel as the head of GPU in Madrid. Kahle being mentioned also in the letter of this mrs. Wedderburn to Anthony Eden.
