Thälmann-Bataillon veterans during ww 2
what happened with Thälmann-Bataillon veterans during ww 2 ? if not imprisoned in concentration camps, did they fought against Nazis?

It's an excerpt from Antifascism and memory in eastern germany - Remembering the International Brigades which looks specifically at German volunteers.
It has a breakdown on where some of the volunteers who returned to the GDR ended up post SCW (p 41)
34.5% Nazi Imprisonment in Germany; 17.4 % French Resistance; 15.9% Soviet Union; 2% Switzerland; 1.9% each Sweden and Mexico , smaller numbers in Denmark, Czechoslovakia, China, England, Chile, Argentina, Belgium, USA, Holland, Columbia and Greece. 2.8% remained in Spain in Nationalist captivity, some not being released until 1946
