Man of the pic

Post by Spanish General » 04 Jul 2004 15:42

The man of the pic is Vicente Rojo.

He was the bestSpanish miliatar of 20th century. He was in the Madrid Front HQs during Franco's first assaults to the city. Then he was promoted to the Central HQs from where he comanded all Popular Army. He designed operations like Belchite, Ebro and Teruel.
He manage to hold the initiative during almost all war against Franco in clear inferiority.

I think you are off topic here. The question was, what battle around Madrid did Gen. Miaja resort to issuing blank amunition after running out of amunition, beleiving they would continue the fight if they could still hear their rifles fire?

Adding hint: Las Rozas

Sorry.

If it was in Las Rozas it should be the battle for the road to La Coruña.

Choose question A or question B

Question A (Easy): What is the name of the president of Generalitat of Catalonia during SCW?

Question B (Hardcore): What is the "saltaparapetos"?
