Hello.

The LS-3 Crew recovered the deceased HSK Kormoran crew members [ mostly the wounded from the failed rubber raft launch ] and buried them 'above the waterline ' at Shipwreck Cove Dorre Island on the 20th and 21st November 1941.

The matter has been reported to The West Australian Police , VOLKSBUND Germany , and Office of War Graves Australia [ OWGA ].

Unconfirmed 33 HSK Kormoran crew members.

Have requested , and am awaiting the German Burial Report from this OP.

The HSK Kormoran Families naturally , need to be notified .

The LS-3 crew would have listed the individuals in their report.

Site is geologically stable , but remote.

VOLKSBUND has indicated prior , that they would like to recover their war dead.

The West Australian Police have the Highest , and First Jurisdiction regarding this matter.

David Angwin.
HMAS SYDNEY II.
OP RESOLUTION.
