AFIK, in the Philippines 44/45 the Filipino Army was not a participant as such, not counting resistance groups.
The Filipino Army having ceased to exist as such in 41, and not being reconstituted till after liberation.
Right???

And there was 2d Filipino Infantry Regiment (Separate) which was activated 11/21/1942 in California, inactivated 3/27/44 and used to form the 2d Filipino Infantry Battalion which did make it to the Philippines and was disbanded there on 12/21/45

The 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment (Separate) which was activated on July 13, 1942, was formed from the 1st Filipino Infantry Battalion which had been formed on April 1, 1942
All four units have entries in Shelby Stanton's Order of Battle U.S. Army World War II

Re: Philippines 44/45 Filipino Army
I wonder did they ever use the 57 mm Gun M1, in action, I was told they did but I find it hard to believe as most US Army units in the Pacific retained the 37 mm AT gun till the end.
