US 40mm AA Gun Used For Infantry Support - Philippines 1945

The attached article discusses the US Army's use of several 40mm AA guns to provide direct infantry fire support during its 1945 attacks on Cebu during the Philippines campaign

The article was printed in the August 1946 edition of the USA professional military reference magazine ‘Military Review’.

The 40mm Bofors really was a good "all-arounder" weapon system. Great read, thank you for posting this!
