LOL You're funny, oleg. Let's see... why did you pick the IL-10? Wrought the most destruction on the Japanese? Nope. Carried the heaviest gun armament? Nope. Most heavily armored? Nope. Largest rocket load? Nope. Most effective? Nope. Largest gun armament? Nope. Best at attacking ships? Nope. Most popular? Nope. Heaviest bomb load? Nope. Most versatile? Nope. Best carrier plane? Nope. Most feared? Nope. Most respected? Nope. Unsung hero? Not in my opinion. Easiest to maintain? Not to my knowledge. Biggest impact on the Pacific war? Nope. Why did you pick the IL-10, oleg?

Sorry. I feel stupid. I was thinking best or most important. Nevermind.

Ewww. As an attack airplane?!? The biggest contribution that the P-39 made to the war effort was the use of its 37mm cannon on PT-boat and LVTs.

I want to say either the Corsair,P-38(which I can't believe isn't on the list! 8O ),or the KI-45 Nick(Japanese),but I guess my real favorite is the P-61 Black Widow.Maybe the best plane of the war!In my humble opinion!

My favorite is the Zero, it may not have been very durable but its agility was unmatched.

In the Pacific, the F-4U ruled as an attack plane, therefore my vote (even though I cant vote) goes for it
