Help: Has anyone seen this photo

In the late 1950's I borrowed a book from the local library which had a photo of four Australian POWs carrying a sack along a road.
They were barechested and wearing shorts.
I have no idea now of the title of the book and the POWs were not identified.

I believe one of the POWs was my uncle Pte. William Hector (Hec) Graham, 2/9 Field Ambulance, 8th Division AIF. captured in Malaya - interned at Changi and then transferred with B Force to Sandakan, Borneo where he died following the 1st Death March at Ranau in April 1945.
From memory they looked too fit for this photo to have been taken in Borneo is must have been in Singapore.

If anyone comes across a similar photo among their collection or during their research I would be pleased if you could let me know the Title, Author and Publisher of this book.

TIA.
