A Connecticut Yankee in the 8th Gurkha Rifles

Has anyone read Scott Gilmore's book?

How did an American end up commanding a Gurkha company in Burma?

I have read, and own, the book, but it has been a while. The way he became involved was clear when I read it, but I forget now. I did enjoy the book. Need to go into the book boxes and find it and reread (just moved and all my books still packed). Worth the read.
