Landwehr Pass

#1

Post by RayB1 » 26 Jun 2019, 03:55

Hello,
Below is a Landwehr Pass that was given to Jacob Mikrut. I am having trouble translating it because of the low quality and military terms. Here is what I have:
German English
...pflugssoldat II. Classe Unknown (maybe Rank)
Jakob Mikrut Jakob Mikrut -- Soldier's name
der Standart Evidenz The Standard Evidence ( not sure what this means)
des k.k. Landwehr Infanterie Regiment The k.k (Königlich-kaiserlich) Landwehr Infantry Regiment
Neu Sander Nr 32 New Sander No 32 (name of Regiment?)
....Jahrgang 1893 Grundbuchblätter .... vintage 1893 land register sheets
..... - ...... 2134 ..... - ..... 2134
Evid.Verpflegungsmagazin Krakau. Unknown . Board magazine Krakau.

What I have may be far from what was intended.

Would someone take a look at this and see if they could improve (correct) my translation. I can tell you that he came to America in 1904 so his service was before that time. He was born and lived in Żurowa, Jasło, Rzeszów, Poland.

I am sorry that I had to split it into two parts but I could not figure out how to make it an acceptable size.

I thank you in advance for your help!

Not much help from me other than to put the words more clearly.

No Greg, not like "rank" or "status/class" but unit evidence = being part of the unit k.k. Landwehr Infanterie Reg. 32.
When I´ve been in the army the morning roll call was called "Standeskontrolle" = controll the unit eg for completeness.
Cheers,
Roman

Hello,

I am sorry that the post mixed things together, however your approach was much better. I believe I can get a better translation now.

Thank you for your help!
