Nazi letter opener - English sir name?

Letter opener with nazi symbol on one side and a signature of my "great great uncle", I'm not 100% sure on the script, my mother was under the impression his last name was "Dwight", but I'm wondering if he changed it when he moved to the US. The first letter looks more like a G or other letters in the German script examples I've found, than it does a D, but my other thought was that he was just left handed so he did his "D" backwards? I couldn't find anything that said Dwight was a German name... (The system is telling me the file is too large to load- please advise)
