Suojoki railway station was located at the former municipality of Suojärvi in Ladoga Karelia, some 10 kilometres south of Suojärvi aerodrome.

This thread reminds me a lot of the nonsense I read on fold3 where Americans transcribe the names of the Mauthausen Death Book not familiar with Sütterlin/Kurrent script nor with European/East European given names.
