Re: Another text translating
For the last pic, I think it mut be:
Granatsplitterverplegung in Wind (Warn)rose)
granatsplitter is meaning, I think a grenade shell (éclat de grenade)
Verplegung is meaning, I think "given assistance" (donner des soins)
For the rest of the sentence ????????? (Rose des vents)
Kindly regards from Belgium.

The first 4 pics start all with F.U.
I am not sure if this is a medical abbreviation, I think we need Doc Zinke for this.
1) F.U. Gr.Spl. (Granatsplitter) Zertrüm. re U-Schen. (Zertrümmerung rechter Unterschenkel)
Shrapnel smashed right lower leg

I see colon after U
F.U:
Perhaps it's Fachuntersuchung: specialist examination/diagnose ?

Granatsplitter rechte Wange, rechte Schulter, Oberbauch.
Shrapnel right cheek, right shoulder, upper abdomen.

Re: Another text translating
Hi Kepi Blanc,
Pic 1, 3, 4 and 5 should be clear.
Pic 2 is a problem. Inf. Verw. verst has probably something to do with increased infectious wounds.
Also we still don't know the meaning of F.U. (T.U.?).
Another wild guess is, that these are maybe the initials of the medic writing down the diagnosis?
But for an answer you should contact a "real medical expert".
Best Regards

Hi All
Many many thanks for your great help.
Thank you very much for helping me, and that you took time to help.
I can say, that the persons all were killed/died in Demjansk in 1942 as part of Frikorps Danmark

Re: Another text translating
Very interesting.
Is one of the cards referring by any chance to
Christian Frederik von Schalburg?
Best Regards

Re: Another text translating
We can exclude "Infanterie/infantry" as the entry starts with a small letter.Thoddy wrote:[...]
Picture 2 F.U. ? inf Verw. verst. (Infanterie / infizierte) Verwundung verstorben?
[...]
IMHO, as registered nurse, it´s "infizierte Verwundung - verstorben". I`m not aware that there is another meaning of the acronym "verst." than "verstorben". At least I didn´t came upon another possibility in the last 30 years.
