Dear members,
I would like some help with Russian to English translation. I know about which unit this concerns but I cannot read what the documents are about. Is this about certain places the unit fought etc.? Or ?

All help appreciated! Thanks in advance

It's a Russian translation of a German order issued to 423 IR to take up a new positions because of parent division (I assume 212 ID) withdrawal over night of 20/21 Feb. 1944.

Names of several places are mentioned, according to 1:50000 map, like: Seglitzy, Nikolajevo, Bukino, Kirilkovo, Savija, Novoselje, Ludoni and others. Spelling needs to be checked with map, although most of them can be found SW of Luga.

Hi,

Thanks, Greg, these place names mean much for me. Is there anything other important in it that helps my research? Kompanie / Strength .. / Names of people ?

Only one name as far as I can see - Colonel Detbarn? - regiment's commander.

No strength info for companies.
There is a note that an anti-partisan group of up to 200 should be located in a forester lodge 4km E of Bukino/Bukhino.
And that 4 50mm PAK guns from 14 company of 333.IR should be moved to Nikolajevo to protect a road from enemy tanks.
