Assistance with Wehrpass

Post by UShistoryguy84 » 30 Nov 2018 19:44

Hello, this is my first post in this group. I love researching history, and recently purchased a German Wehrpass. I have attached the pages that contained writing. My German is not good, but have figured out some using google translate. I cannot read most of the hand writing. From what I have gathered, this belonged to Walter Gehardt, born in 1892. I believe it mentions his previous service in 1918, so possibly he also served in WW1? Inside the passport sleeve, it contained the red note, and an unlabeled photo. It appears he survived the war. I wonder what ever happened to Walter? Thank you for any assistance you could provide.

Familienname: Gerhardt
Vornamen: Walter Ernst August
Geburtstag: 06.10.1892
Geburtsort: [Hamburg-]Harburg
Staatsangehörigkeit: deutsch
Religion: evangelisch
Familienstand: verheiratet
Beruf: Postinspektor
Vater: August Gerhardt, Bahnmeister (+1916)
Mutter: Anna Gerhardt, geb. Kürzl (+1942)
Befähigungsnachweise: SA-Sportabzeichen in Bronze
Musterung und Aushebung, Nachträge: Musterung 05.07.1937 (tauglich)
Aktiver Wehrdienst: 06.07.1918 bis 20.11.1918
Dienststelle: 3. / Ersatzbataillon IR 20 (altes Heer)

Sorry, but I can't read the Russian writing on page 2.
The document gives evidence of Gerhardt's Musterung, but not of any active service (in WW2).
Er ist wieder da. Aber auch dieses Mal wird er nicht siegen!

Thank you so much! Here are the remaining 5 pages since I was limited on the uploads initially. I recognized the writing on page 2 was not German. It didn't strike me it could be Russian. Hopefully the remaining pages will fill in the blanks.

Entlassen am 20.11.1918 als Telegraphist
von der Nachrichtenersatzabteilung 12, Fernsprechersatzkompanie
Eintragung laut Militärpaß
Abmeldungen nach Litzmannstadt, 16.09.1943
nach Eberswalde von Wehrmeldeamt Litzmannstadt 1, 08.02.1945
Anmeldung Eberswalde, 09.02.1945

As I said, he was gemustert, but apparently never eingezogen.
Er ist wieder da. Aber auch dieses Mal wird er nicht siegen!
