Which last last name could this be?

I read "Jefroll", or possibly "Sefroll".

Thanks, Hiltraut! But still not a German last name... Very odd thing. The first letter is definatly not an F, though it looks like it.

Still not sure what it should read...

Here is more or less a guessing again, but the first three letters could read "Sch", making it "Schroll".
Are there any more clues to where the name is written on, or time frame etc.?

Many thanks again for your continued effort. I very much appreciate it, as it is important to me. Schroll looks like a very big possibility!
To answer your questions: this last name is written on a small passport foto in 1937.
