I have been read some Soviet artillery reports and you see both the terms гранат and снаряд when refering to artillery shell. Are these terms synomyns or do they mean different things?

Another quest is: does пушснарядов mean 'rapid fire'?

"граната" is a High explosive shell.
"снаряд" is just a shell.
"пушснарядов" is an abbreviation for "cannon shell".

Thanks. I thought it was"пулснарядов" as in 'пулемёт'.
