Deciphering more German handwriting

#1

Post by andrew184 » 26 Oct 2019, 15:19

Hi everyone,

attached are three images with some handwritten pieces. Can anyone make them out? I can see the odd word but not enough to make sense of them.

1279.jpg - This is an address in Füssen in the Allgäu. But the name of the street seems to be gobbledygook to me.

Any help would be amazing and much appreciated!

Best,
Andy

I suppose the address is Straße der SA (number 9) c/o Seitz.

In Füssen im Allgäu, correct, Andrew? And below the telephone number as you´re sure aware. Would like to know which street this is nowadays...

Yes, im Allgäu. Have been trying to find references to a Strasse der SA there but can't find anything. Have also tried locating a map of the period in case it is shown there - also no luck 😟

Thanks for the help so far. Just wanted to try again with the signature of the above note. Any guesses?

So I've managed to solve one thing...the "Straße der SA" in Füssen im Allgäu is today's Reichenstraße. I was able to confirm this thanks to an old postcard.
