Alif,
The caption reads:

Generalfeldmarschall Hermann Göring awards on 05th of June, 1939 in Camp Döberitz members of the "Legion Condor" , who returned from Spain already before the 31st of May, with the Golden Spaincross.

Best regards
Armin

From the estate of General Max Lemke. Apart from Lemke himself and Feldmarschall Walter Model, who are other individuals identified in the writing?

Hi,

The caption reads:
Mein Adjutant
Nach dem Krieg Oberst d.(er) Bundeswehr

( My Adjutant, after the war Colonel of the Bundeswehr)

So no name, the caption then was written earliest in the late 1950's.

Best regards
Armin

Please help me read this text. I know it refers to Konteradmiral Joachim Lietzmann and mentions the date "Juni 1942".
Thanks!

Small correction: The name is not Mayer, but Meyer.

Funkspruch von A.O.K. 1

......Chelles-Torigny zurückgeschwenkt.

Best regards
Armin
Here's the whole thing with some corrections: "27.8. 12 hrs Funkspruch an AOK 1 Glasow linker Fluegel auf Feinddruck hinter Marne Abschnitt Chelles - Torigny zurueckgeschwenkt. Von 48. JD keine Meldung. Translation: "8/27 Radio message to 1st Army Corps Due to enemy pressure Glasow (?) left flank turned back behind Marne sector Chelles-Torigny From 48th Infantry Division no report"

Comments: 1.) I don't see how "Glasow" fits in here. Glasow is a Russian name. I once knew a guy named Juri Glasow. 2.) The date of 8/27 is significant. But what year? The message obviously was written on French territory, but not during the 1940 campaign because by that date that was already over. So it must have been sent during the Allied advance northeast of Paris following the city's capture in June 1944. Some research into the activities of AOK 1 and 48th Infantry Division during that period would show the actual tactical situation to which the message refers.

Can someone help decyphering this text?
Where on earth did you get this very special document from? Written on a ragged piece of paper, it was obviously written in a hurry at the HQ of a unit in the midst of a critical combat situation. Any idea as to what exact unit? Would be very interesting to know.
