Need help with translating writing

Post by Larrister » 07 May 2020 00:34

Hi,

I have this Kriegspfarrer photo with writing on the back. I am having trouble deciphering a couple of words.

My take: Div Pfarrer T.....?
(?)
Februar 1944
97 . Jag. Div.

All help appreciated.

Cheers,
Larry

(Kath) = Katholik = Catholic

It's always hard with surnames, looks like Tenses, but this surname does not come up in databases, perhaps Henses ?

Thanks for your reply. I agree, surnames are hard to decipher. Thanks for the translation of (Kath),
I appreciate your help.

Cheers,
Larry

I agree with GregSingh, the name reads "Tewes" to me as well.
