Feldpost Translation Help

Post by sqnldr » 09 May 2020 15:26

Hi,

Another piece of feldpost needing a bit of translation help. Probably some of the neatest writing I have seen on any of my collection. Front and back attached hopefully include some interesting details!

What I read
Hiltraut

Absender: Otto Brender
Mühlhausen Th. [Thüringen]

Fräulein
Maria Fritz
Todtnauberg
bei Freiburg i.B. [im Breisgau]

Mein liebes Marieli!
Bin gut angekommen. Hab die
anderen im Zug getroffen. Hier ist es immer
noch sehr kalt. Heut Abend schreib ich dann ein
Briefle. Dein Päckli war da, vielen Dank dafür. Hab sonst
noch viel Post bekommen. Sei nun recht herzlich gegrüßt
und geküsst von
Deinem Otto.

Thank you for your expert translation.

Any idea of the location origin and destination for the letter?

Thank you! Sorry I do. But I didn’t notice the location in the above translation. I have not heard of these places before. Every day is a learning day! :)
