Hello/Bonjour,
I would have your assistance to decipher the signature (an Oberleutnant of Flugzeugführerschule C15) on the attached document. I thank you beforehand.
Best regards,
Frederic

Re: Decipher a German signature
Hallo Armin,
Thank you for this answer. The problem is that I have a list of officers who have passed through the Flugzeugführerschule and this name is not into it. The closest is GIESEN, but - for me - that doesn't seem to match the signature.
Your assistance is always greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Frederic

Hi Frederic,
It's a pity that the "Marschbefehl" is blank and has no date.
On the officer's list of www.ww2.dk I found a:
Geissler, Oskar, D.O.B. 22.12.95 in Hanau. Interpreter stationed at Bourges, later transferred to Stab/5. Jagddivision. Last rank Hauptmann.
FFS C 15 was located at Bourges-Avord from January 43-May44, this is a little vage, but the only one I found with connection to this.
Best regards
Armin

Hi/Bonjour Armin,
Thank you for the additional information... and you are right, it's a real pity that this document is blank. A date would have helped us to narrow the scope of our research. Ich bedanke mich Armin.
