Unser Rommel

Unser Rommel

"Wir sind das Deutsche Afrikakorps
Des Führers verwegene Truppe
Wir stürmen wie die Teufel hervor
Versalzen dem Tommy die Suppe
Wir fürchten nicht Hitze und Wüstensand
Wir trotzen dem Durst und dem Sonnenbrand
Marschieren beim Takt unserer Trommel
Vorwärts! Vorwärts!
Vorwärts mit unserem Rommel!
Vorwärts mit unserem Rommel!"

Can someone translate this part of the song for me?! Please!
I don't know that well german and I understand only parts from it.

Can someone tell me where I can find the full lyrics of the song?

Regards, Daphix_.

We are the German Africa corps
The Führers bold troop
We storm like the devil out
Salts the Tommy the soup
We are not afraid of heat and desert sand
We defy the thirst and the sun fire
Marching with the clock of our drum
Forward! Forward!
Forward with our Rommel!
Forward with our Rommel!

This is the best i could done.

My German is not so good but this is my translation:

We are the German Africa corps
The Führers foolhardy troop
We storm forth like the devil
?spoil/salten the tommy soup?
We do not fear heat and desert sand
We defy the thirst and the sunburn
Marching by the beat of our drum
Forward! Forward!
Forward with our Rommel!
Forward with our Rommel!

Full lyric:

UNSER ROMMEL

Wir sind das deutsche Afrikakorps
Des Führers verwegene Truppe
Wir stürmen wie die Teufel hervor
Versalzen dem Tommy die Suppe
Wir fürchten nicht Hitze und Wüstensand
Wir trotzen dem Durst und dem Sonnenbrand
Marschieren beim Takt unserer Trommel
Vorwärts, vorwärts
: Vorwärts mit unserem Rommel! :

Die Briten fürchten uns wie die Pest
Sie sitzen auf glühenden Kohlen
Wir rächen Deutsch-Ost und rächen Südwest
Das einst sie uns feige gestohlen
Sind Churchill und Roosevelt auch Wut entbrannt
Wir werfen die Feinde in jedem Land
Es schlägt Generalmarsch die Trommel
Vorwärts, vorwärts
: Vorwärts mit unserem Rommel! :

Google translates it pretty good; http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... oe%3DUTF-8

I found it: :)

OUR ROMMEL

We are the German Africa corps
The Fuehrers bold troop
We storm like the devil out
Salten the Tommy the soup
We are not afraid of heat and desert sand
We defy the thirst and the sun fire
Marching by the beat of our drum
Forward! Forward!
: Forward with our Rommel!

The British are afraid us like the plague
They sit on glowing coals -> could be: hot coals
We raechen German east and raechen southwest
That once it us (was) cowardly stolen
Churchill and Roosevelt also rage were inflamed
We throw the enemies in each country
It strikes general march the drum
Forward, forward

: Forward with our Rommel!
With us in the fight and in victories unites
March of Italy crowds
Until once the sun of the peace shines to us
And again towards Germany we drive
But if the hostile ball found me
Thus let me rest in the desert sand
And agitate again the drum
Forward, forward
: Forward with our Rommel!

What is written in red , I don't think it's correct! With blue is a possible correction. Help needed once again!

Here is how I would translate it

The Brits fear us like the plague
They are sitting on hot coals
We are avenging the German-East and avenging the South-West
Which they once cowardly stole from us
even when Churchill and Roosevelt are in rage
we knock down the enemy in every country
The generalmarch is played by the drum
Forward. Forward.
|:

United with us in battle and in victory
the italian bevy is marching
until the sun of peace will shine at us
and we'll move toward germany
but if the enemy bullet found me
so let me rest in the desert
and play the drums again
Forward. Forward.

This is the best I can do :
We are the German Africa- corps
The Führer's daring troops
We storm out like the devil
And spoil the Tommy's (British) soup
We are not afraid of the desert sand
We defy the thirst and the sunburns
Marching at the beat of our drum
Forwards! FORWARDS!
Forwards with our Rommel.

There are lotsa videos with full lyrics on YouTube
