What exactly does the word Härtelager means?

Without context it´s hard to translate words. Usually, the word "Härtelager" describes a camp without any comfort. If you have to sleep on the ground, in your clothes, without sleeping bag and just a canvas to shield you from rain, that´s what we used to call Härtelager in the Army.

But as I said, without context it´s hard to know, it may also refer to a kind of concentration camp.

The full text was Härtelager Them 2 tons.

Them is the local name for a city up here.
