RegardsPrayer remembrance
of
Johann Hartl
Gefreiter in an infantry regiment
participant in the Polish and
French campaign
construction worker from Gotteszell
who has fallen, on the February 17, 1942, in faithful
performance of his soldierly duty, during heavy
fighting in the east, at the age of 25 years,
on the field of honor.
Honor his memory.
-=-
So I am departed into the better land,
Peace in the heart, sword in the hand,
Reddened by blood, the sins atoned,
Killed by the enemy, greeted by the saviour;
Therefore silence the lamentations, commend me to God,
It is said to you all: The love is not dead.
-=-
Mercy Jesus, let him rest in eternal peace.
