SS Translation Help Needed
I have this text written on the back of a recently acquired photo. German writing always seems to run together, can anybody make out what it says and what it means in English? I see the SS runes on the end of the first line. thanks!

here are 3 more photos, I don't think it's a 44, neither comes up to distinguish it. Furthermore, I don't think it even says Mai, it looks like there's a letter between that M and a, like an L or e. I will try to get a magnifying glass and take a better pic later
thanks for your help!

I second that..._The_General_ wrote:hi brig,
it could be mai, sinds the kapital M was written that way!
One thing that might be helpful is downloading a Sütterlin Font for Word to test out ideas on what things say...

Hi! The pictures are clear enough. Could the other side bring some additional information? What does it show? I´m pretty sure it says Mai. It was very common to write this way on the back of a photo. i.e Place name, month and year. I admit that the 44 looks a bit odd though.
Does the ravine-word make any sense?
