SS-Verordnungsblatt 1934-35

#1

Post by Derek » 10 Dec 2005, 20:09

I just finished digitizing for my files the first 10 issues of the SS-Verordnungsblatt. They are from November 9, 1934 to October 30, 1935 and comprise 59 pages of listings of promotions and assignments. They provide a fascinating picture of the growth of the SS.
I don't know if anyone is interested in a cd copy but if so contact me by the private message function. I have attached a sample page.

SS Verordnungsblatt are very usefull for any bio and organisation researchs on pre war SS :

on the page I would to make some comments ::

SS sammelstelle refer to assembly camp for SS escaped from austria after the attempt against austrian chancellery in 1934

Ostubaf Dr Patschowsky promoted Standartenführer was a leading face of Gestapa in 30's before to join senior civil service as Polizeiprasident then Regierungsprasident.

AW ostuf Ehrlinger refer to Eric Ehrlinger who became Amtschef in RSHA

a * before a name indicate a full time SS leader.

AW refer to Ausbildungswesen the former SA organisation in charge of the military training of the SA headed by Friedrich Wilhelm KRUGER with left SA for SS as Obergruppenführer.

Derek,

nice post

The AW-Oberführer promoted SS-Staf. 07.07.1935 is Johannes Schäfer, Führer der SS-Standarte 2 07.07.1935-21.05.1936. I have him listed with SS-Nr. 1523(probably the number he was awarded when he re-entered the SS 01.05.1929. Was the SS-Nr.250075 given to him when he left the Chef-AW and later changed into his old number(he is listed with SS-Nr.1523 in the 01.12.1938 DAL.)?.

TIA

HM.

the chief of the AW was Friedrich-Wilhelm KRÜGER

He joined the SS in january 1931 (# 6123) and was ranked SS-Sturmführer on 16.3/31
from 1931 5.4 to 1934 july he was member of the SA as SA-Gruf. then SA-Ogruf. (Gruppe Ost then Gruppenstab z.b.V.).
from 1934 august until january 1935 he led AW
on 25.1.35 he came back in SS as SS-Obergruppenführer first z.b.V. im Stab RFSS (he was allied with Himmler and Göring against Röhm prior and during the events of june 1934).
He kept his SS-number and start a successfull in Allgemeine SS, police then Waffen-SS until he committed suicide on may 10 1945.

Jerome,

I was referring to AW-Oberführer Schäfer, not FW Krüger.

Jerome,

If Schäfer would had kept his old SS-Nr. he would have been awarded SS-Nr.983(entry 13.01.1927) or SS-Nr.1523(entry 01.05.1929). In this SS-Personalveränderungsblatt he has SS-Nr.250075. So at some time he was granted his older SS-Nr., I'm looking for that date. In the 01.12.1938 he already has his older SS-Nr.1523.

SS personal files (SS Dienstlaufbahn) give the solution :

entritt date : 13.1.1927
wiedereintritt in die SS 1.2.1929 as SS mann so number is based upon this date

Hi Derek,

I am looking for my grandfather's dates of life. I could not find the Verordnungsblatt with his promotion to SS-Unterscharführer in Oberabschnitt "Südost" in Breslau. It must be between Jan to end of April 1936.
His name was Max THOMAS, SS number 169216. Could you please look in your copies of SS-Verordnungsblatt and send me a cpoy of your finding.

Thank you very much in advance

Greetings from Germany
