Can anyone identify this SS-officer:
2 May 1944, report by SSPF Lublin, Ia:
SS-Ustuf. Bartmann, die Uniform ausgezogen.”
source: USHMM, RG-15.027M reel 1
He does not appear in John Moore's Waffen-SS Führerliste, so possibly a Sipo/SD officer.
I wonder whether he is Herbert Bartmann (born 30 July 1906, SS No. 44954, commissioned SS-Ustuf. 1 June 1936: details from SS-DAL 1 December 1938)

The name "Bartmann" is correct. I n fact there are two USHMM documents micofilmed in Poland with the name.
I do not think it was Erwin Bartmann, although SS-Ustuf. he was in the Waffen-SS and john Moore's listing would have said he was KIA
He is not Fritz Bartmann as he was still alive in the 1960`s (and SS-Stubaf.).

The SS-Stammrollen was transferred after the death of the officer to the Haupt- und Versorgungsamt-SS(to provide for the family of the deceased) or the „Reichsschatzmeister der NSDAP“ , where it remained.
